TEAM PARENT GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Team Parents are responsible for completing and passing a background check. Email Aurora at aujo@yahoo.com for the registration link. Please do this as soon as possible.

2. Team Parents are responsible for distributing Spirit Wear information.

3. Team Parents create a snack/drink schedule for each game. Please hand out the schedule to the parents prior to the first game. PDF Editable

4. Team Parents hand out picture forms to each player/parent. Please ask parents to have their child at the designated location 15 minutes prior to their scheduled picture time. Players should wear their team jersey, soccer shorts, team soccer socks with gym shoes for pictures. No cleats at picture night please. Fall 2023 Picture Schedule ***UPDATE as of 8/21/2023-once the picture forms arrive, Aurora will set up a time to distribute them***

5. Team Parents complete the Team Roster Information form. The Team Information form must have the team name (used for ordering end-of-season medals); list of players with response to picture waiver; and coaches’ signatures acknowledging the coach’s code of ethics. This form will be returned to Aurora, Head of Team Parents at or prior to picture night. PDF Editable

6. Team Parents coordinate with coaches to get player names on jerseys. Names on jerseys must be approved by ALL families. Last names are recommended, unless ALL families agree to the use of first names; names must be consistent in either case (all first names, all last names, or no names). PDF ***UPDATE as of 8/21/2023 once the uniforms arrive, the team will be contacted by the league to arrange pick-up***

7. Team Parents assist coaches in contacting parents in the event of canceled/rescheduled practices/games. Coaches have the authority to cancel/reschedule practices only. Coaches do NOT have the authority to cancel/reschedule games. Team Parents also instruct parents to download SportsEngine App to allow families to RSVP to practices and games and to communicate with parents/team. 8. Team Parents organize and collect money for the coach gifts to be presented at the end of the season. The Team Parent can assist in coordinating an end-of-season team party with the coaches. The donation for the coach gift is voluntary/optional. Please have all players sign thank-you cards for the coaches to be presented to the coaches at the party or last game of the season.
