Thank you for volunteering to be a coach for a Shorewood Soccer team!  We appreciate your time and effort - and we're sure the parents and players do too!

There are requirements set forth by US Soccer and IYSA (the governing bodies of Shorewood Soccer) that all coaches must complete.   Click on BLUE links in steps below.

Note:  If you have valid credentials from another soccer club with similar requirements, those can be used to obtain your badge for Shorewood Soccer.

1. All coaches need to have an individual account in SportsEngine using their own active email (not their spouses, etc.).

2. All coaches will log into a special IYSA Membership group with their own SportsEngine email.  This allows coaches (and Shorewood Soccer) to track your completion of the requirements. 

3. Shorewood coaches will need to log into the latest IYSA membership before each Fall Season as the membership changes every summer.

4. Coaches are to request a discount code which makes their background check free for them.

   Email your request to sslriskmgmt@shorewoodsoccer.org, with wording similar to the example below:

   A code will be provided within 24hrs (it is provided by a human - so be patient).  Do not delay completing these requirements. Begin the process as soon as you are able.  Some portions may take a few hours.  You will NOT get your badge bag unless you have completed all of the requirements.

5. New coaches registering into this system will receive an email with a link to their membership.  Once all requirements are completed, coaches can download proof of compliance to their Android or Apple phone and/or print a PDF as proof of compliance

6. Coaches need to follow these steps regardless if you are background checked through your job

7. Shorewood Soccer can check coaches' compliance/progress.  Certain circumstances may require coaches to provide proof when coaches badges are passed out

8. Coaches that are not in compliance will not be allowed to coach
