Thank you for volunteering to be a COACH or TEAM PARENT for a Shorewood Soccer team! We appreciate your time and effort - and we're sure the parents and players do too!
There are requirements set forth by US Soccer and IYSA (the governing bodies of Shorewood Soccer) that all TEAM VOLUNTEERS must complete. Click on BLUE links in steps below.
Note: There is a method for importing credit for Safe Sport training if you've completed it in the past few years.
All TEAM VOLUNTEERS must join our Group online at the U.S. Soccer Learning Center. This allows Shorewood Soccer to track your completion of the requirements and also allows us to pay for your background check. After joining our group, you can then log into U.S. Soccer Learning Center to review your requirements and complete your training.
Do not delay completing these requirements. Begin the process as soon as you are able. It may take a few hours. You will NOT get your badge unless you have completed all of the requirements - which means that you will not be eligable to be a TEAM VOLUNTEER.
TEAM VOLUNTEERS need to follow these steps regardless if you are background checked through your job.
Shorewood Soccer can check your compliance/progress. Certain circumstances may require coaches to provide proof when coaches badges are passed out.
Shorewood Soccer does not have access to your background check information, personal details, nor can we review why a background check may have failed.
